Much to our amazement, the YouTorrent site has already surpassed 50,000 unique visitors daily and 150,000 searches! (largely thanks to a great article at TorrentFreak):
While the buzz is still very much there, we just wanted to reassure you all that we are working as fast as we can to improve the site to your expectations. Please don’t hesitate to let us know which new features you would like to see on YouTorrent and also tell us if you see any bugs or problems that shouldn’t be there! Last but not least, spread the word!

To users: DON’T BE BASTARDS!!! seed your downloads or the site will suck. you’re not payin’ for it, you can at least share the goddamn file you leeching schmucks.

OH and um, there needs to be a way to remove fakes, perhaps digg style voting on torrents.
Where you can bury fakes. Not remove them since that would suck.
Just moves them to the end of the lists, so they dont show up on the front pages of searches.
This is the best….. I used to use torrent-finder.com, which has tons of torrent sites, but its a headache to search through it.. I preffer youtorrent.com… searching only the best sites REALT TIME!!!

Is it possible to make a make a top 10 of quality uploaders? Let people send in their favorites, for instance axxo, maven, hockney, neptune, diamond. That way the viewer can filter out the crap.

user comments is what is needed now. like torrentspy and thepiratebay. it assures about the content of torrent to people…..people can then collaborate…..
one advice….since you have web 2.0 design of your website, it will be awesome if yo could implement a dynamic rating system, where user may rate torrents by simple click….it will introduce social networking component in torrent searching, which is lacking everywhere…

What’s really great over http://isohunt.com/ - which I’ve been using til now -, is that it links to the tracker actually hosting the torrent file in a very visible fashion, instead of snatching the torrent from there for you. For users, this gives a better & wider view of the torrent tracker world, gives credit to individual sites for the torrents they host, and most importantly, allows to go through the original tracker’s comment system, have a look at their rating, etc., and eventually take part.
So I would stand against implementing a rating system or comment system of your own as previous posts have suggested, because it would defeat the great purpose of being a _search_ system, not a tracker site itself. Keep it that way, please! The only thing I would suggest would be to add some more engines, in order to allow people to discover some smaller (and often richer content-wise) trackers, which carry contents that can be found nowhere else (thinking about tracker3 - http://tracker.zaerc.com/ and secret cinema here, but there’s more!).

I got a 403 when accessing a link too SeedPeer though, http://www.seedpeer.com/details/718816.html returns me forbidden.
Ah, checking that again, their TLD itself is returning a 403. http://www.seedpeer.com/ - perhaps they should be filtered from the result db or something.

Thank you for this website! There are many like this, but those aren’t realtime. If they say there are 10seed, it is possible there are 1. If Youturrent says 10 seed, there are 10 seed while downloading….. AMAZING WORK, KEEP IT UP!!

Good job on the website, it seems very well made.
I would just like to add though that 1) the results need a little fine tuning to be more relevant to the search, and perhaps you could 2) make a roll over so that titles that are too long become visible as a roll over layer when putting the mouse over.

It would be really great if you included some of the Anime themed torrent sites in your searches. AnimeSuki.com and TokyoTosho.com being good examples…which brings me to an idea; if you were to include lots of niche torrent sites like those in your searches it would make sense that you could categorize the different torrent sites so you could quickly and easily enable or disable an entire section to speed things up.
Another cool idea would be to make search widgets/gadgets for OSX and Vista to make it even easier for people the look for the torrents they want.
This is an amazing site you’ve constructed so far, I’ll be making much use of this. ^_^

(sorry for my english) Since youtorrent become to my life I use only it. But… I miss to find an RSS (like at mininova.org) for search remotely and download automaticaly torrents with “RSS Feed Scanner” from Azureus, for example.

So far this site has been nothing but excellent. A clean, straightforward design and a fast effective search. I think it’s almost perfect as is and with the additions you are planning to make it should be awsome.
I also love the ad-free look but i wonder how long can you keep this up… I agree with some of the others, a small “donations” button would be beneficial for you guys and also give us a way to further show our appreciation.
But please, please do not fill this site with stupid porn banners and such. Keep this clean look as it looks amazing! If you must add some form of ads please find the least intrusive way.

Great Site. I can see that the torrent engines can be customized, will there be any changes to allow us to choose engines that are not on the list that we like. E.I. Torrentbox.com etc?
